Planning
So, when you watch movies or even see other people plan their weddings, it looks like a lot of fun. They just get it done and then they show off what they've accomplished. What they don't tell you is how expensive EVERY SINGLE THING is. What is that all about? I'm not a millionaire! So, needless to say, I'm pretty stressed out about this. If anyone has any suggestions about how to make a wedding a little more affordable that would be great. Mostly, it's the invitations. We've done really well with everything else up to this point, but the invitations might kill me. Is there any way to have nice wedding invitations without going bankrupt?

congratulations to my cousin! that is soooo exciting!
we stuck to a strict budget with my wedding & i thought it was beautiful. let me know if you need any help! ;)
If you need help I can help you make them. It would be a lot cheaper that way and we can make them look really nice
If you have any friends who are art majors or design majors, ask them for a wedding gift of designing your annoucements, then find a local printer who had digitally print them. That's what we ended up doing and it only cost us about $125 for 500 announcements(not including postage, but there's not getting around that).
We made ours on the computer really easy...you could print out the picture and put the invitation part on the see through paper(don't remember the name of it)and tie a cute knot or bow at the top. Simple, elegant, easy, and most of all cheap!
Dunno. Blaire did everything, I just grunted my approval whenever she asked me something. Just like I do now.
No kidding. Weddings are expensive. I designed my own invitations and had them printed here in Manhattan. Hey, and you're saving a ton on engagement pictures! :)
Hooray for wedding planning...blagh. Ummmmmmmm so I think there are two cheap options. The first is to use a website like snapfish.com and just make a photo card. I think you can get them around 40 cents each...which is cheap! Phil and I also went to Hobby Lobby and bought their invitation kits, which weren't expensive and printed them ourselves. I love you.
